Salary data

If you submit a compensation figure, we store the role, seniority, years of experience, country, optional city, currency, base salary, optional bonus, whether equity is part of the package, optional industry and company size, and the roadmap branch you work in. We also store the exchange rate, its source and its date, so the figure can be compared without being restated at a later rate.

Why we keep it: to produce anonymous market aggregates. That is the only purpose. Submitting is optional, nothing else on the site depends on it, and the legal basis is your consent — given by submitting, withdrawn by deleting.

How it is published: never individually. A figure appears only inside a group of at least five entries, as the 25th, 50th and 75th percentiles. Groups smaller than five are not published at all, and no average is shown, because an average in a small group can be worked backwards to a person.

Deleting it: the salary page has a delete button and it takes effect immediately — not after the 30-day account grace period. Deleting your account also deletes your salary entry. Once deleted it is gone; the published percentiles simply recompute without it.

Email

We send transactional email (password resets and similar) to the address on your account. The weekly digest is separate and off by default: you receive it only after opting in and confirming the address, and every one carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We send at most one email a day.
